Composition unknown — our sources do not have it.
*Sichuan Pepper, otherwise known as Szechuan Pepper, flower pepper, anise pepper, hot pepper, or Chinese pepper, is not actually related to pepper at all. It is a dried berry from a prickly ash tree. Our Sichuan Pepper Powder makes a convenient substitute to the whole Sichuan Peppercorns. *Warm, sweet, and aromatic, Chinese Five Spice is the principal spice blend used in Chinese cooking. Our Penang-style Chinese Five Spice is inspired by the famous "Mixed Spices Powder" from Penang, Malaysia, which includes additional spices - most notably citrus powder, cardamom, and nutmeg.
