Triple bill of Pixar animated comedies following a group of motor vehicles. In 'Cars' (2006) successful rookie racer Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) has just won a three-way tie with elder rival Chick Hicks (Michael Keaton) and 'The King' (Richard Petty). On his way to the big tie-breaking race, Lightning crashes through Radiator Springs on Route 66 and is forced to remain in town until he repairs the damage he has caused. At first, the tight-knit community doesn't accept Lightning's bad attitude but he eventually befriends redneck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) and falls in love with Sally (Bonnie Hunt). However, he can't seem to get the gruff Doc Hudson (Paul Newman) to change his mind about him. Soon Lightning learns the inhabitants of the town as a whole also had a different past that's painfully absent, and tries to help them enjoy it once more. In 'Cars 2' (2011) when slow-witted tow truck Mater travels to Tokyo with his superstar friend, Lightning McQueen, for the international Grand Prix, sleek Aston Martin Finn McMissile (Michael Caine) and his sidekick, Holley Shiftwell (Emily Mortimer), become convinced that Mater is, despite his unassuming appearance, nothing less than a brilliant international spy. 'Cars Toon - Mater's Tall Tales' (2010) includes the complete first and second series of shorts following Mater and his best friend, Lightning McQueen. Mater reminisces about his past adventures, such as competing in a Tokyo race and bullfighting in Spain. Episodes comprise: 'Rescue Squad Mater', 'Mater the Greater', 'El Materdor', 'Unidentified Flying Mater', 'Tokyo Mater', 'Heavy Metal Mater', 'Monster Truck Mater', 'Moon Mater' and 'Mater Private Eye'.
