The source for Kneipp Thermal Spring Bath Salt is an ancient underground salt water sea in central Germany that is the last remaining salt works in Europe mined by using traditional methods. The salt crystals are extracted from the thermal brine by heating it in large pans, allowing the liquid to evaporate naturally. The unique crystal form which results, naturally absorbs the essential oils until released into a warm, steamy bath. The crystals are free from chemical additives or environmental pollutions.
