Травневий мед з різнотрав’я одразу після відкачки нічим особливим не відрізняється: блідий солодкий сироп з зеленуватим відтінком, що майже позбавлений запаху. Але, дозрівши, настоявшись 3—5 місяців, він набуває неповторний ментоловий аромат з охолоджуючим смаком. Травневий мед — найсолодший.
