Product of Barbados. International Gold Awards - International Wine & Spirit Competition 1981/4/9 - Gold Medal. Cockspur Fine Rum is an expert blend of superior Bajan rum, matured in oak barrels to mellow the spirit. It is distilled from the best quality island cane molasses and pure spring water emanating from the Barbados limestone aquifer, a smooth water filtered by coral stone. This combination of ageing and blending defines the unique character for which Cockspur is renowned. Barbados is generally regarded as the birthplace of rum and the famous Cockspur brand, with its proud and colourful ‘rooster’ symbol, has been an integral part of island life since 1884.
