By appointment to the Royal Danish Court. Carlsberg is a Pilsner style lager originating from Copenhagen, Denmark. Carlsberg is light, easy drinking and refreshing. The all malt recipe and Carlsberg yeast strain gives the balance between body and depth of flavour and a clean refreshing palate. When Carlsberg first imported it's lager from Copenhagen to the UK in 1868, it was a distinctive 12 pointed star that it used as its trade mark. Carlsberg's founder, J.C. Jacobsen created this star as the first trademark of his brewery, which was inspired by a 6 pointed star that has stood for quality since the middle ages. This 12 pointed Brewer's star remains an icon of premium lager for Carlsberg today. The Star even sits over the gates of the original brewery in Copenhagen as a constant reminder to continue to strive for quality in everything we do.
