It was the invention if woodcut printing in the 14th century that led to the playing of cards becoming widely popular, especially amongst tavern drinkers. With this ale you can bet on a full bodied taste, therefore making it a perfect accompaniment to a tense game of cards! It is brewed in the traditional manner by the brewers Joseph Holt. Founded in 1849 the brewery has remained in the family for five generations.
