У бельгійському абатстві ордену кармелітів у Дендермонде, як припускають, вже в XVII столітті варили триззернове пиво. Це надихнуло розташовану в сусідньому Буггенгауте пивоварню Бостеелс на створення в 1997 р. триппелю – з ячменю, пшениці та вівса. Кожен вид зерна використовується як у сирому, так і в осоложеному вигляді, і пиво дійсно дуже приємне. Триппель Кармеліт – елегантний і складний напій: з легкістю пшеничного, солодістю лимона, вівсяною кремовістю та пряною, лікувальною сухістю.
