Organic dried Chives (Allium shoenoprasum) from Cantinho das Aromáticas have a delicately hot flavour with onion notes. We recommend its use in sauces, omelettes, fish and salad dishes and enjoy combining it with other herbs particularly basil, tarragon and fennel. Cantinho das Aromáticas is a unique urban organic farming project in the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, a small city nestled between the mouth of the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean in northwestern Portugal. The farm enjoys a mild climate which together with our organic practices gives exceptional character to our herbs. Our production is entirely certified by Ecocert as Organically Produced and our plants show enormous evidence of quality, measurable in the total absence of pesticide residues and the greater quantity of sugars and essential oils. This outstanding quality prompted us to launch our own brand of herbal infusions and seasonings for the Portuguese market and today for export.
