Proper Foods premium quality Beef Tallow is rendered exclusively from the highest grade of fat available namely the suet or kidney fat in order to produce true gourmet quality tallow with a fine texture and mild flavor that enhances your dishes natural flavors. Beef tallow is stable up to 400º (F) making it an excellent choice for frying, sautéing, roasting, or grilling and can also be used in baking savory crusts, crackers, biscuits and more. Fats play a large roll in the flavor and texture of foods, providing moisture and acting as carriers for flavor molecules. Although much maligned, fats play a large role in the satisfaction derived from eating they help make foods juicy and flavorful. Beef Tallow is stable and refrigeration is not necessary but is recommended to maintain optimal freshness and to extend product life.
