Papa was from Italy, then New York moved south to North Carolina in the late 1920's, met a beautiful southern bell, married, was loosing the farm, so they opened a Italian Restaurant on the farm down gravel road in the country, Papa John did the cooking Mama (granny) created famous salad dressing that took 3 years before she gave her approval. Granny Roselli became famous for her secret recipe salad dressing. Several Television shows told her story and customers came from all over the state also out of state just to get a meal with salad dressing and Papa's pasta sauce his father brought from Italy through Ellis Island both have passed now granny lived 101 years young in 2010, closed the restaurant doors.
