How to make Hungarian Papriaka Gulash: <br> - Heat oil in a large pot and add stewing beef. <br> - Saute the beef until nicely browned. <br> - Remove beef from pan and put to side. <br> - Satuee onions until slightly softened and caramelized. <br> - Return meat to pan. <br> - Sprinkle paprika, salt and pepper (if desired) on beef and onions. <br> - Add broth and bring to a boil. <br> - Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours or until tender. <br> - Mix flour with water to make a smooth paste and add to simmering goulash. <br> - Bring back to a boil and cook until the sauce thickens. <br> - Serve over potato dumplings or egg noodles. <br> <br> Country of origin: Israel <br> <br> Kosher RCC <br> <br> Paprika is used for BBQ, stews and stock, chili, and the cuisine of India, Morocco, Europe, and the Middle East. <br> <br> Some more ways Paprika can be used creatively in cooking: <br> Sprinkle it onto poached eggs. <br> Use it to thin out and reduce the heat in ground Chipotle pepper powder. <br> - Add 2 tablespoons to your favorite pasta sauce. <br> - Sprinkle it on potatoes or homemade fries for a change of seasonings. <br> - Use it liberally on poultry ,meat, and fish when cooking. <br> - Use paprika as a milder seasoning in chili or stews. <br> - Liven up some soups with color and flavor.
