Wine of Colchagua Valley, Chile. Merlot - Red Chilean Wine This Reserva Merlot is made from premium grapes grown in the Colchagua Valley, renowned for producing some of Chile's finest red wines. The ripe bunches are harvested by hand, then de-stemmed and fermented for about a week before crushing. The wine is aged using a mixture of French and American oak to increase its complexity and depth of flavours. Vińa Luis Felipe Edwards, one of Chile's leading family owned wineries, is passionately devoted to producing top quality Reserva wines from carefully tended low-yielding vines up to 75 years old.
