ALBA is the italian word for sunrise, as well as the original name for Scotland in gaelic. The name reflects our reverence for the Scottish Whisky tradition and culture and at the same time symbolises the birth of a new Whisky tradition in Italy. PUNI ALBA is the exclusive first bottling of PUNI's hand-selected barrels. Because it has not yet been matured for three years it is not yet officially called "Whisky". For the ALBA selection only the best Marsala and wine barrels are selected and botteled. The current edition of PUNI ALBA has matured for 18 months in Marsala Vergine and Pinot Noir casks. During this time, it already acquired a deep colour and developed a mellow yet structured taste. In PUNI ALBA the spicy, delicate aromas, which emerge during cask maturation, harmonise with the malty sweetness of the distillate. Colour: Red gold Nose: Vanilla, herbs & raisins Palate: Gentian & cumin Casks: Marsala & Pinot Noir Age: 18 - 36 months
