Anyone who is Spanish or has immersed themselves in Spanish culture will need no introduction to "pipas". These sunflower seeds are eaten in their tons everyday in Spain especially by children and teenagers, but also by their parents! They come in various "flavours" in which the shells have been prepared with. The trick in eating them is to put one "pipa" vertically between your teeth, and with a sharp crack break open the shell and eat the sunflower seed. When you get good at it, you can get through each pipa every few seconds!
