Coming from the Kherwa Salt Mines of Norther Pakistan these are the crystallized salt deposits of a primordial ocean that evaporated millions upon millions of years ago. Color is pink and the crystals run the color rainbow from clear, white, to light pink speckled with the darker and deeper pink crystal salt granules. When Pure Himalayan Salt is used in cooking the crystalline bonds start dissolving releasing their rich natural energy in the form of valuable minerals - the same minerals present in the human body and necessary for optimal body function. The human body recognizes these minerals as if remembering "yes, this is good" allowing for easy absorption of the minerals by the body where they are used as needed.
