# Pear Tart

## Ingredients

- 240 g Plain flour
- 50 g Icing sugar
- 1 pinch Salt — a pinch
- 120 g Butter — cold
- 1 pcs Eggs — beaten
- Water — cold, as needed
- 100 g Butter — room temperature
- 75 g Caster sugar
- 100 g Ground almonds
- 2 pcs Eggs
- 175 g Pear
- 50 g Dark chocolate — chopped

## Steps

1. Mix the plain flour, icing sugar, salt and butter in a food processor in short pulses until combined.
2. Gather the dough into a bowl, adding the beaten egg and a little cold water if needed.
3. Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper.
4. Chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. (30 min)
5. Butter a 24 cm tart tin and line it with the dough.
6. Press the dough gently into the edges and trim to get a neat border.
7. Prick the base with a fork and cover the dough with a sheet of baking paper.
8. Fill the base with dried beans or ceramic baking beads and blind bake in a fan oven preheated to 175°C for about 15 minutes. (15 min)
9. Beat the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
10. Mix in the ground almonds and eggs.
11. Sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the tart base.
12. Spread the almond cream over the chocolate.
13. Arrange the pear slices in a neat pattern.
14. Bake the tart in a fan oven preheated to 175°C for 30-35 minutes. (32 min)
