The stylish Carlsberg Export is a premium strength lager with a refined and satisfying taste. Brewed to the original Danish recipe, it has deep malty notes and a distinct bitterness that generate a full flavoured beer. When Carlsberg first imported it's lager from Copenhagen to the UK in 1868, it was a distinctive 12 pointed star that it used as its trade mark. Carlsberg's founder, J.C. Jacobsen created this star as the first trademark of his brewery, which was inspired by a 6 pointed star that has stood for quality since the middle ages. This 12 pointed Brewer's star remains an icon of premium lager for Carlsberg today. The Star even sits over the gates of the original brewery in Copenhagen as a constant reminder to continue to strive for quality in everything we do.
