<p>Our pine nuts have a mild piney aroma and a sweetish, rich, buttery taste. Italy is one of the foremost producers of pine kernels, followed by China; our pine kernels come from China and tend to be larger than Italian pine kernels. Pine nuts are a source of fibre, vitamins including B1 & E, minerals including copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus & zinc.</p><p>Pine kernels are often called pine nuts but they are not nuts at all, they are the seeds from the pine cone, also sometimes called pignolia and pinon nuts. Italian varieties tend to be harvested from the Stone Nut Pine (Pinus pinea); whilst most Chinese pine kernels come from Siberian Pine (Pinus sibirica).</p><p>Typical values per 100g; Energy 2180 kJ/670 kcal, Protein 14.0g, Carbohydrate 13.0g, Fat 68.6g.</p><p>Allergy advice: This product should be avoided by those people with nut allergies.
