<p>Brown basmati rice has a lovely, nutty, exceptional taste; it is a long-grain, slender, non-glutinous rice, which when cooked, swells only lengthwise, resulting in long slender grains that are dry, light and separated. Brown basmati retains the bran outer layer and contains more fibre than white basmati as a result. It also contains vitamins B1, B3, B6 & folate and minerals including magnesium, phosphorus, manganese & selenium.</p><p>Basmati is a long-grain, naturally sweet and fragrant rice; the word basmati literally translated from Hindi means queen of scents.
