Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is a well-known food supplement, water purifier and natural antibiotic. Since early times it has been known as mother nature's perfect food. This Somerset ACV is from a single Cider Farm, made from whole sweet local apple varieties such as Brown Snout & Debinett and is matured for at least 3 years. It is non-pasteurised, and is literally "alive" (though it contains no harmful organisms) with the "Mother". ACV is delicious used either as an ingredient for marinades, sauces, dressings or other culinary uses, or to help in the treatment of specific ailments. ACV is believed to help with the following conditions (please check with your physician if at all in doubt): Acid reflux / heartburn / Gerd / Gord (take just prior to a meal), Arthritis, Over-weight (studies have shown it can contribute to weight loss (source: WebMD) Cholesterol (a study has shown it can contribute to a lowering of cholesterol (source: WebMD) Diabetes (studies have shown it may help to lower blood glucose levels (source: WebMD), Stomach ulcers, Colitis, Gout, Osteoporosis, High blood pressure (studies have shown it can lower blood pressure (source: WebMD), Fungal infections, Poor hair and nails condition (rinse in diluted ACV) Acne (applied, diluted, directly), Always dilute before taking - the usual dose is 1 or 2 teaspoons in a glass of water / juice, and can be mixed with honey to produce a delicious, refreshing drink.
