The Bride of the Fox is a fantastic example of a fragrant and crisp, yet rich Japanese sake. The heady booziness of this sake is bewitchingly delicious and echoes its mystical roots. The brewers were inspired by local legends that recount mysterious lights that appeared on nearby Mount Kirin. Locals believe the lights were paper lanterns carried in a fox-bride procession, an festival which is still celebrated annually to this day. Kaetsu Shuzo brewery use 50% polished gohyakumangoku rice and pure mountain water from the streams of the Aku-Aizu and Echigo ranges to create this exceptional, clean-tasting sake.
