This carob syrup is a 100 natural product that derives from the dried fruit of the carob tree, which thrives on the island of cyprus due to the mediterranean climate and dry chalky soil. Carob syrup is a dark syrup with a smooth creamy texture, has a characteristic aroma and chocolate like flavour. It contains no fat and no cholesterol and is a fantastic, healthy alternative to both honey and chocolate. Great for the stomach and the digestion system. Ideal for beverages (coffee / tea), and cakes, or combined with sesame paste. When diluted with water it can also be added cold to various breakfast cereals.
