Cacao Nibs are the raw pieces of cacao beans (or cocoa beans), pronounced ka-kow. They have been used for many hundreds of years to increase energy and improve moods. The Mayans called it a 'food of the gods'. They taste good, and in addition to improving your spirits, are an extremely healthy superfood, including minerals like magnesium to aid healthy blood flow and absorb iron and calcium, and contains dietary fiber to improve digestion, and reduce the risk of obesity. Cacao nibs are a healthy snack by themselves, use them in place of chocolate chips, in smoothies, with yogurt and granola, or sprinkle them over deserts and ice cream.
