Ром Bacardi є однією з найвідоміших марок рому. Сім'я Bacardi панувала у виробництві рому на Кубі протягом майже сто років. Історія рому Bacardi розпочалася, коли іспанський винопродавець Facundo Bacardi переїхав у Сантьяго-де-Куба, де й захопився виробництвом рому. Знаючи тонкощі хорошого вина, Facundo виготовив вишуканий ром. Він зробив правильну ставку, зконцентрувавшись на виробництві очищеного так званого легкого рому, який виробляв у колонах безперервного циклу. Перша компанія з виробництва рому Bacardi була створена в 1862 році - разом з цим на ринок прийшла мода пити ром.
